I think it’s about damn time I wrote something new. Sick of seeing Paan’s face in the first post haha. Well here it goes. Me and my buddies decided to join this futsal tournament organised by I don’t know whom. It was opened to all FTMSK students of course. The event was held yesterday (Sunday, 17th September). It was supposed to be a 4 group league-knockout match with 4 teams for each group but only 10 teams managed to turn out that day. I guess the others chickened out.

We arrived at the sport complex around 8:30am i think. My goodness the pitch shocked us. It was as if we were stuck inside dark terror’s chronosphere that we couldn’t express how terrible the pitch was at the time. The surface itself wasn’t good at all , and we could even see slopes. Do they not maintain the pitch or what? Guess who played the first match on that wonderful pitch T_T Well, the organisers did book 2 pitches. Another one was the nice and smooth basketball-like court.

Our group comprises of 5 teams including us. All I can say is that we didn’t played well during the first match. We only managed to get a 1-1 draw with a team which I think we should have won. And it got worst for the 2nd game. We lost 4-2 to Chakoi FC.

The loss didn’t effect our spirit though. We went on to win 3-1 against the 3rd team. As shock as it may sound, I did score twice hehehheheh. We were tied 1-1 at the time when I used my superb speed to snatch a pass from their centre back and calmly placed the ball just under the goalie’s armpit to make it 2-1 lol. The 3rd goal was a lucky one though. A great front lob by Fad looked to be a good chance for me to cushion it and make a 180° drogba-like volley goal. However I over anticipated the ball and it didn’t caught my leg properly. The ball then bounces off my left knee instead. The unexpected goalie, moved forward knowing that I would get the ball first, couldn’t reach the deflected ball. It fell nicely inside the goal. Haha.

Fired up by the win, we went through the last match with Budak Perak FC and led 2-0 after the mid half. Knowing a win would definitely put us in semifinal, we decided to go on the defence. We got punished by that mistake as they made 2 goals later on and snatched the 3 point from us. The team that beat us, Chakoi, went on and won the tournament followed by 2nd placed Budak Perak. Damn if only we were drawed in the other group. Oh well, the ball is round. You win some, you lose some. Our team, standing clockwise from left: Pali, Toncet, Ad, Zul, Fad, Ted, Foe and me.

Dissappointed by our loss we decided to have lunch at Nikmat. The home ground for Team Jalan Platinum lol. There will always be next semester. Watch out for us. We will be back, I can assure you…
